Story Winery was founded in 1973 as one of the first post-prohibition wineries in the Shenandoah Valley of California. We have been making premium old-vine zinfandel for nearly 40 years. Specializing in single vineyard-designate wines, the winery produces an array of offerings including: Zinfandel, Barbera, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Chenin Blanc, and Mission. The winery lies at the northern edge of the Shenandoah Valley of California AVA and strives to produce wines that show the very best of the region.
Complimentary tasting for groups of 6 or less is offered daily in our 1870's bunkhouse which sits at the edge of the Cosumnes River Canyon. Surrounded by 300-year old oak trees, a 115 year old Mission vineyard, and 180° panoramic views of the Sierra foothills, the tasting room and surrounding grounds is a fabulous way to spend a leisurely afternoon with family and friends.
